Amoxyclav 228mg Suspension 70ml is a children's antibiotic suspension combining amoxicillin, a penicillin antibiotic, with clavulanic acid, which protects the amoxicillin from bacterial resistance. This combination treats a broad range of bacterial infections. Ear, throat, chest, sinus, urine and skin infections. Including some that ordinary amoxicillin cannot. The 228mg strength is a paediatric concentration.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Reconstitute (make up) the dry powder with the stated amount of clean water as directed by the pharmacist, shake well before each dose, and give the dose for the child's weight/age using the measuring device, usually two to three times a day, ideally at the start of a meal to reduce stomach upset. Complete the full course even as the child improves. Refrigerate the made-up suspension and discard after the stated period (usually 7 days).

Tell your doctor about any penicillin or other antibiotic allergy before use. Penicillin allergy can cause serious reactions; stop and seek help for rash, swelling or breathing difficulty. Give at the start of a meal to reduce stomach upset, and complete the full course. Report severe or bloody diarrhoea during or after treatment. Rarely, this combination can affect the liver. Shake well and measure accurately. Refrigerate the made-up suspension and discard after the stated period. Keep out of reach of children.
