Apixaget 2.5mg Tablets (30 pack) contain apixaban 2.5mg, a direct oral anticoagulant (blood thinner) used to prevent and treat blood clots. Preventing stroke in atrial fibrillation, and preventing or treating deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism. Apixaban blocks a key clotting factor to keep blood flowing safely, with the 2.5mg strength used for specific indications and patient groups.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Take one tablet twice daily, roughly 12 hours apart, with or without food, swallowed with water. Take it consistently and do not miss doses. Protection depends on steady levels. Do not stop without medical advice, as stopping raises clot and stroke risk. If you cannot swallow tablets, ask your doctor, as apixaban can be crushed in specific circumstances.

Apixaban increases bleeding risk. Report unusual or prolonged bleeding, severe bruising, black or bloody stools, pink/brown urine, coughing or vomiting blood, or severe headache, and tell every doctor and dentist before any procedure (stopping is planned carefully). Seek urgent care after any significant fall or head injury. Tell your doctor about kidney or liver problems and all medicines.
