Avas 10mg Tablets (30 pack) contain atorvastatin 10mg, a widely used statin for lowering high cholesterol and reducing the risk of heart attack and stroke. Atorvastatin reduces LDL ('bad') cholesterol production in the liver and helps stabilise artery plaque, with the 10mg strength providing effective lowering for many people at increased cardiovascular risk.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Take one tablet once daily, at any consistent time of day, with or without food. Continue your heart-healthy diet and attend scheduled cholesterol and liver blood tests. Do not stop without medical advice. Cholesterol and risk rise again when statins are stopped.

Report unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness promptly. Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Avoid large amounts of grapefruit juice. Liver function may be monitored. Tell your doctor about all medicines, especially certain antibiotics, antifungals and other cholesterol treatments, and report symptoms of liver trouble (yellowing, dark urine, persistent nausea).
