Co-Lactase Drops 10ml contain the enzyme lactase, used to help digest lactose (milk sugar) in people who are lactose intolerant, and commonly added to feeds for infants with temporary lactose intolerance (often after a tummy bug). Lactase breaks down lactose into simpler sugars the body can absorb, helping prevent the bloating, wind, cramps and diarrhoea that lactose causes in those who lack enough of the enzyme.

Directions for Use

Add the number of drops directed to milk, infant feed or a lactose-containing meal/drink shortly before consuming, following the pack instructions for the amount and timing. For infants, follow your doctor's or health visitor's advice on dose and use. Confirm the dosing on the packaging.

For infants, use only on the advice of your doctor or health visitor. Persistent diarrhoea, poor feeding, poor weight gain or dehydration in a baby needs prompt medical assessment, and lactose intolerance should be properly diagnosed. Lactase helps digest lactose but is not a treatment for cow's-milk protein allergy, which is different and needs medical management.
