Duspatalin 200mg Capsules (30 pack) contain mebeverine 200mg in a sustained-release form. An antispasmodic for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and related gut spasm. Mebeverine relaxes the cramping muscle of the gut wall to relieve the abdominal pain, cramps, bloating and altered bowel habit of IBS, without the broad side effects of older antispasmodics. Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Take one capsule twice daily, swallowed whole with water about 20 minutes before meals (typically morning and evening). Do not crush or chew the sustained-release capsule. Take consistently for symptom control. It can be used long-term for IBS as advised.

Mebeverine is generally well tolerated. A new change in bowel habit, especially over the age of 40, or symptoms such as unintentional weight loss, rectal bleeding, persistent severe pain, a lump, or anaemia, should be assessed by a doctor rather than assumed to be IBS.
