Overview
Microgynon 30 is a combined oral contraceptive pill used to prevent pregnancy. Each pack contains 21 active tablets taken daily for three weeks, followed by a 7-day pill-free interval.Â
Levonorgestrel 150 mcg + Ethinylestradiol 30 mcg Â
Directions for Use
Take 1 tablet daily at the same time each day for 21 days. Stop for 7 days, then start a new pack.Â
Do not use Microgynon 30: ▪ If you have (or have ever had) a blood clot in a blood vessel of your legs (deep vein thrombosis, DVT), your lungs (pulmonary embolus, PE) or other organs. ▪ If you know you have a disorder affecting your blood clotting – for instance, protein C deficiency, protein S deficiency, antithrombin-III deficiency, Factor V Leiden or antiphospholipid antibodies. ▪ If you need an operation or if you are off your feet for a long time (see section ‘Blood clots’). ▪ If you have ever had a heart attack or stroke.
