Directions for Use

Rinse the quinoa under running water, then simmer one part quinoa to about two parts water for 12-15 minutes until tender and the grains unfurl; rest, then fluff with a fork. Use as a base for salads and bowls, a rice alternative, or in porridge and stews. One cup of dry quinoa makes roughly three cooked.

Naturally gluten-free, but check the packaging if you have coeliac disease and require certified gluten-free handling. Rinsing before cooking removes the natural bitter coating (saponins). Introduce wholegrains gradually if you are not used to high-fibre foods, and drink plenty of water. Store in a cool, dry place in a sealed container.
