Overview

Erostin 10mg Tablets (10 pack) contain ebastine, a modern long-acting antihistamine from Micro Labs that calms allergies with minimal drowsiness. One daily tablet relieves the sneezing, runny nose and itchy, watery eyes of allergic rhinitis and hay fever, as well as itchy skin rashes and hives (urticaria). Because ebastine works for a full 24 hours and largely spares the brain's alertness centres, it suits students, drivers and busy professionals managing the dust and pollen allergies common across Kenya.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Usually one 10mg tablet once daily, with or without food, at the same time each day. The dose may be increased to 20mg daily for stubborn symptoms on medical advice. Take it daily during your allergy season for steady prevention, or on symptom days as advised. Stop at least 3 days before any allergy skin test.

Generally low-sedating, but observe your response before driving. Mild drowsiness, headache or dry mouth can occur, and alcohol increases sleepiness. Caution with significant liver, kidney or heart rhythm problems (QT prolongation). Tell your doctor, and mention medicines like ketoconazole or erythromycin which raise ebastine levels.
