Monteru Kids Chewable Tablets (10 pack) contain montelukast, a medicine for children used to help prevent and control asthma and to relieve the symptoms of allergic rhinitis (hay fever and year-round nasal allergies). Montelukast works by blocking leukotrienes. Chemicals that cause airway inflammation, tightening and a blocked, runny nose. Helping to keep airways open and reduce allergy symptoms. The chewable tablet is made for children. A doctor-prescribed option helping children manage asthma and nasal allergies. Confirm the active and strength on the pack.

Active: Montelukast (as sodium), chewable tablet. Typically 4mg or 5mg per the child's age. Confirm strength on the pack.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Give only as directed by your doctor. Usually one chewable tablet once daily in the evening, chewed (not swallowed whole), at about the same time each day, at the child's age-appropriate strength. Use it regularly every day to prevent symptoms, even when your child seems well; it is a preventer, not a quick-relief reliever. Keep your child's reliever inhaler available for sudden asthma symptoms.

IMPORTANT: report any changes in mood or behaviour. Such as agitation, anxiety, sleep problems, bad dreams, depression or thoughts of self-harm. To your doctor, as montelukast can rarely cause these. It does not relieve a sudden asthma attack. Always have a reliever inhaler to hand and seek urgent help for severe breathlessness. Tell your doctor about other medicines. Store below 30°C.
