Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Use only as directed by your doctor. The usual dose for children 1-5 years is one 4mg sachet once daily in the evening. Pour the granules directly into the child's mouth or mix with a spoonful of cold, soft food (mashed banana, porridge) and give within 15 minutes. Do not mix into liquids. Give every day, even when symptom-free; it prevents attacks rather than treating them. Keep a reliever inhaler for acute wheeze.
Not for relief of an acute asthma attack. Use the reliever inhaler and seek care. Tell your doctor about phenobarbital or rifampicin co-treatment. Watch for mood or behaviour changes (agitation, sleep disturbance, vivid dreams. Rare but reported with montelukast) and report them. Continue other prescribed asthma medicines unless told otherwise. Use in pregnancy and breastfeeding only on medical advice. Store below 30°C in original sachets, protected from light and moisture. This product information is for general guidance only and does not replace professional medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new medication or supplement. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
