Overview
Montiget 4mg Tablets (14 pack) are chewable montelukast tablets from Getz Pharma for children aged 2-5 years with asthma or allergic rhinitis. Montelukast blocks leukotrienes. The inflammatory chemicals that tighten little airways and drive night cough, wheeze and a permanently blocked, itchy nose. Preventing symptoms when taken daily. The small chewable tablet suits preschoolers who can chew safely, giving parents an easy once-nightly routine for keeping toddler asthma and allergies under control through Kenya's dusty seasons.
Montelukast (as sodium) 4mg per chewable tablet. Contains aspartame.
Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Use only as directed by your doctor. The usual dose for children 2-5 years is one 4mg chewable tablet once daily in the evening, chewed well before swallowing. Give regularly every day, even when your child seems well. It prevents symptoms rather than relieving an attack. Keep the child's reliever inhaler available for acute wheeze.
Not for relief of an acute asthma attack. Use the reliever inhaler and seek care. Contains aspartame. Caution in phenylketonuria. Watch for and report mood or behaviour changes (agitation, sleep disturbance, vivid dreams. Uncommon but recognised with montelukast). Only for children who can safely chew tablets; granules suit younger children. Tell your doctor about phenobarbital or rifampicin co-treatment. Store below 30°C protected from moisture and light. This product information is for general guidance only and does not replace professional medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new medication or supplement. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
