Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Give one chewable tablet once daily in the evening, chewed before swallowing, as prescribed. Use every day for prevention, even when symptom-free. Montelukast prevents. It does not relieve sudden asthma attacks: always keep a reliever inhaler available for those.

Be alert to mood and behaviour changes. Agitation, sleep disturbance, vivid dreams, anxiety or low mood have been reported, particularly in children; report these promptly and discuss continuing treatment. Never use in place of a reliever inhaler during an attack. Phenylketonuria patients should check chewable tablets for aspartame. Confirm age suitability and dose on the pack.
