Overview
D-Tam Tablets (30 pack) combine dutasteride 0.5mg and tamsulosin 0.4mg. The same pairing as the originator Duodart. To treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), the non-cancerous prostate enlargement that disturbs urination in older men. Tamsulosin relaxes muscle at the bladder outlet for relief within days, while dutasteride steadily shrinks the prostate itself over months, reducing the long-term risk of urinary retention and surgery. One nightly capsule offers men comprehensive, two-pronged control of frustrating urinary symptoms.
Dutasteride 0.5mg with tamsulosin hydrochloride 0.4mg per tablet.
Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually one tablet once daily, about 30 minutes after the same meal each day. Swallow whole; do not chew or crush. Full prostate-shrinking benefit takes 3-6 months. Continue even when symptoms improve, and attend reviews including PSA monitoring as advised.
For men only. Women and children must not take or handle crushed or leaking tablets; dutasteride can harm an unborn male baby through skin absorption. Do not donate blood during and for 6 months after treatment. May cause dizziness on standing (rise slowly), ejaculation changes and reduced libido. Tell your ophthalmologist before cataract surgery (floppy iris syndrome). Reduces PSA readings. Remind your doctor when testing. Caution with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors like ketoconazole.
