Overview
Kchek Sachets (15g, 10 pack) contain a potassium-binding resin used to treat hyperkalaemia. Dangerously high blood potassium. Most often in chronic kidney disease. Taken as a suspension, the resin binds potassium in the gut so it leaves the body in the stool instead of accumulating in the blood, protecting the heart from potassium's rhythm-disrupting effects under medical supervision.
Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Mix the prescribed number of sachets with water (not fruit juice, which contains potassium) and drink as directed, typically once to several times daily. Take other medicines at least 3 hours apart from the resin, which can bind them. Follow your prescribed low-potassium diet and attend blood test monitoring. Confirm the exact resin and dosing on the packaging.
Requires regular monitoring of potassium, calcium, magnesium and sodium. Report constipation promptly and do not use with severe constipation or bowel obstruction. Serious bowel complications can occur, particularly when combined with certain laxatives (avoid sorbitol unless directed). May cause low potassium if over-treated. Report muscle weakness or palpitations. Tell your doctor about all other medicines due to binding interactions. This product information is for general guidance only and does not replace professional medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new medication or supplement. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
