Overview
Donecept 10mg (donepezil) is a prescription medicine used to treat the symptoms of Alzheimer's disease (dementia). It works by boosting levels of acetylcholine, a chemical messenger involved in memory and thinking, helping to improve or stabilise memory, awareness and the ability to carry out daily activities for a time. Donepezil does not cure the disease but can help manage symptoms, supporting people living with mild to severe Alzheimer's dementia under specialist guidance.
