Encorate Chrono 500 Tablets (30 pack) are Sun Pharma's controlled-release sodium valproate + valproic acid formulation for epilepsy and bipolar disorder. The Chrono technology releases valproate steadily over the day, smoothing blood levels to improve seizure control and reduce side-effect peaks, often allowing once- or twice-daily dosing. It treats generalised and partial seizures and stabilises mood in bipolar disorder. Reliable long-term control for patients , with mandatory specialist precautions for women of childbearing age.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Dosage is determined by your prescribing doctor based on your individual needs. Do not adjust your dose without medical supervision. Swallow tablets whole with water; do not crush or chew the controlled-release tablet. Take with or after food at the same times daily, and never stop suddenly. Abrupt withdrawal can trigger seizures.

Must NOT be used in pregnancy or in women of childbearing age unless a specialist-supervised pregnancy prevention programme is in place. Valproate causes serious birth defects and developmental harm. Report immediately: unusual bruising or bleeding, vomiting with drowsiness (liver/pancreas warning signs), or worsening seizures. Avoid alcohol; caution with carbapenem antibiotics, lamotrigine and aspirin. Regular liver and blood monitoring is required. Store below 30°C.
