Gabica 50mg Capsules (35 pack) contain pregabalin at the lower 50mg strength, a medicine that calms over-active nerve signals. It is used for nerve (neuropathic) pain. Such as the burning or tingling pain of diabetic nerve damage or after shingles, and also as add-on treatment for certain epilepsy and for generalised anxiety disorder. By quietening excess nerve activity, pregabalin eases pain, reduces seizures and relieves anxiety. The 50mg strength is useful for starting treatment or for smaller dose steps. A gentle starting option, doctor-prescribed, helping people manage nerve pain, anxiety or seizures.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually two to three times daily, with or without food, swallowed with water. The dose is built up gradually from this lower strength to reduce side effects. Do not stop suddenly, as this can cause withdrawal effects or trigger seizures in epilepsy. Your doctor will lower the dose slowly if stopping. Keep to your prescribed schedule.

May cause drowsiness, dizziness or blurred vision, especially at first. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how it affects you, and avoid alcohol. Tell your doctor about kidney problems (the dose needs adjusting), any mood changes or thoughts of self-harm, and a history of substance misuse. Weight gain and ankle swelling can occur.
