Delased Paediatric Syrup, made by Regal Pharmaceuticals , is a children's cough and cold syrup that combines diphenhydramine (a sedating antihistamine), sodium citrate (which helps loosen and clear phlegm) and menthol (which soothes). It is used to relieve coughs in infants and children, ease a chesty, productive cough by helping bring up phlegm, and reduce nasal and chest congestion and allergy-related symptoms of the upper airways. The pleasant syrup is convenient for little ones during coughs and colds. Always check suitability by age on the packaging.

Per 5ml: Diphenhydramine hydrochloride 7mg, Sodium Citrate 28.5mg, Menthol 0.55mg.

Directions for Use

Shake well before use. Give by mouth using the measuring cup or an oral syringe, with the dose based on the child's age as stated on the packaging (Delased Paediatric is generally intended for children around 2-6 years). Doses are usually given a few times a day as directed. Do not exceed the stated dose. For infants and younger children, seek a pharmacist's or doctor's advice first.

May cause drowsiness, as it contains an antihistamine. Do not give with other medicines that also contain antihistamines or cause drowsiness, and do not use alongside other cough and cold products without advice. Tell your pharmacist if the child has asthma, breathing problems or any ongoing condition. Not suitable below the age stated on the pack. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should seek advice before use. Stop and seek help if the cough lasts more than a few days, or with high fever or breathing difficulty.
