Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine given as an injection under the skin (abdomen, thigh or upper arm), usually once or twice daily as prescribed, at the same time(s) each day. Not into a vein or muscle. Use only as directed by your doctor and the training you were given: attach a new needle each time, check the insulin is clear and colourless, dial the exact dose, inject and count to 6 before withdrawing, and rotate injection sites to protect the skin. Never share your pen with anyone. Keep up your meal plan and blood-sugar monitoring.

The main risk is low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia).
