Overview
Amaryl is a medicine taken by mouth to help lower blood sugar. It belongs to a group of medicines called sulfonylureas. Amaryl works by increasing the amount of insulin released from your pancreas. The insulin then lowers your blood sugar levels.• Amaryl is used to treat a certain form of diabetes (type 2 diabetes mellitus) when diet, physical exercise and weight reduction alone have not been able to control your blood sugar levels.
Directions for Use
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Amaryl 2mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
Amaryl 2mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Alcohol intake may increase or decrease the blood sugar lowering action in an unpredictable way. It should be used with caution in patients with kidney and liver disease. Dose adjustment of Amaryl 2mg Tablet may be needed. The following information is an educational aid only.
