Empa Q 25mg (empagliflozin) is a prescription medicine for type 2 diabetes that also benefits the heart and kidneys. Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Empa Q is usually taken once daily in the morning, with or without food, swallowed with water. Drink enough fluids to stay hydrated. Maintain good genital hygiene. Do not change the dose or stop without medical advice, and keep up with regular blood sugar and kidney checks.

This is a prescription medicine. May cause genital or urinary infections and dehydration. Drink adequate fluids. Seek urgent care for symptoms of diabetic ketoacidosis (nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, deep/rapid breathing, drowsiness), which can occur even with near-normal blood sugar. Tell your doctor about kidney problems, and pause during serious illness, dehydration or before surgery if advised. On its own it rarely causes low blood sugar, but risk rises with insulin or a sulfonylurea. Avoid in pregnancy/breastfeeding unless advised. Store in a cool, dry place.
