Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually one 25mg tablet once daily in the morning, with or without food, swallowed with water. Take it alongside a balanced diet and regular activity, and drink enough fluids. Continue every day and attend reviews of your blood sugar, kidney function and HbA1c. Tell your doctor if you become unwell or cannot eat and drink normally.
Increases urine glucose, which can cause genital and urinary infections. Keep good hygiene and report symptoms. Drink adequate fluids to avoid dehydration, especially in hot weather or illness. Rarely, a serious condition called diabetic ketoacidosis can occur even with near-normal blood sugar. Seek urgent care for nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, rapid breathing or unusual tiredness, and stop the tablet if seriously unwell. Tell your doctor about kidney problems and diuretics.
