Glifempa-M 25/500mg Tablets (30 pack) are a combination medicine for type 2 diabetes, pairing empagliflozin 25mg. An SGLT2 inhibitor. With metformin 500mg. Empagliflozin helps the body remove excess sugar through the urine, while metformin lowers the amount of sugar made by the liver and helps the body use insulin better. Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually once or twice daily WITH food, swallowed whole with water, to reduce the stomach upset metformin can cause. Take it at the same times each day. Drink enough fluids. Keep taking it alongside your diet and exercise plan even when you feel well, and attend your blood-sugar, kidney and other reviews.

Empagliflozin increases the risk of genital and urinary infections (drink fluids and keep good hygiene) and, rarely, a serious condition called diabetic ketoacidosis. Seek urgent care for nausea, vomiting, tummy pain, fast breathing or drowsiness, even if blood sugar is not very high. Metformin can cause stomach upset; tell your doctor about kidney or liver problems, and stop around contrast X-rays, major illness or dehydration.
