Overview

Glympa 25/5mg Tablets combine empagliflozin 25mg, an SGLT2 inhibitor, with linagliptin 5mg, a DPP-4 inhibitor, for type 2 diabetes. Two complementary non-insulin mechanisms in one tablet. The higher 25mg empagliflozin strength flushes more glucose out through the urine, with proven heart and kidney protection, while linagliptin boosts the incretin system, together delivering weight-neutral, low-hypoglycaemia control.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Take one tablet once daily in the morning, with or without food, swallowed whole with water. Maintain good hydration, continue diet and exercise measures, and monitor blood sugar as advised. Do not adjust the dose yourself.

Not for type 1 diabetes or ketoacidosis. Seek urgent care for nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain or rapid breathing (possible ketoacidosis even with normal readings), or severe abdominal pain radiating to the back (possible pancreatitis). Genital and urinary infections are more likely. Maintain hygiene. Treatment pauses before surgery or contrast scans. Report severe joint pain or blistering rash. Caution with diuretics (dehydration).
