Overview
Aurocrome 2% Eye Drops (sodium cromoglicate) are used to relieve and prevent the symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis (eye allergies), such as itchy, red, watery or irritated eyes caused by allergies like hay fever. Sodium cromoglicate is a mast-cell stabiliser that works by preventing the release of the chemicals that cause allergic eye symptoms. Used regularly during the allergy season, Aurocrome helps adults and children keep allergic eye symptoms under control.
Directions for Use
Use as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Wash your hands, tilt your head back, gently pull down the lower eyelid and instil one to two drops into each affected eye, usually four times a day. It works best used regularly throughout the allergy season, even on days with few symptoms. Remove contact lenses before use. Avoid touching the dropper tip to the eye.
For use in the eye only. Brief stinging or blurred vision may occur after instilling. Wait until vision clears before driving. Do not wear contact lenses while using the drops unless your doctor advises. Stop and seek advice if eye pain, marked redness or vision changes occur, or if symptoms do not improve. Do not share the bottle, and discard within the period stated after opening. Tell your doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding.
