Overview
Aurosol 0.7% Eye Drops (olopatadine) are an anti-allergy eye drop used to relieve the itching, redness and watering of the eyes caused by allergic conjunctivitis (eye allergies), such as those triggered by pollen, dust or pet dander. As an antihistamine and mast-cell stabiliser, olopatadine blocks the allergic response in the eye. At this higher 0.7% strength, a single daily drop gives long-lasting relief, making Aurosol a convenient option for adults and older children with itchy, allergic eyes.
Active ingredient: Olopatadine (as hydrochloride) 0.7% w/v. Contains benzalkonium chloride as preservative.
Directions for Use
Use as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Wash your hands, tilt your head back, gently pull down the lower eyelid and instil one drop into the affected eye(s), usually once daily. Avoid touching the dropper tip to the eye or any surface. If using other eye drops, leave at least 5 minutes between them. Remove contact lenses before use and wait at least 10-15 minutes before reinserting.
For use in the eye only. Do not use while wearing contact lenses if your eyes are red, and do not use to treat contact-lens-related irritation; the preservative can be absorbed by soft lenses. Stop and seek advice if you get worsening redness, eye pain, changes in vision, or signs of infection. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Discard within the period stated after opening. This product information is for general guidance only and does not replace professional medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new medication. Keep out of reach of children.
