Ciproken Eye Drops 5ml contain ciprofloxacin 0.3%, a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic for bacterial eye infections. Conjunctivitis, corneal ulcers and other susceptible surface infections. Direct-to-the-eye antibiotic action clears infection rapidly, easing the redness, discharge and gritty discomfort of bacterial eye disease.
Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Instil the prescribed drops into the affected eye(s) at the frequency prescribed. Often intensively at first for ulcers, or typically 2-4 times daily for conjunctivitis. Completing the full course even as symptoms settle. Wash hands first, avoid touching the tip to the eye, and press the inner corner after each drop. Remove contact lenses during treatment. Discard 4 weeks after opening.
Mild transient stinging and a bitter taste can occur. Report worsening pain, vision changes or no improvement within 48 hours. Eye infections that deteriorate need urgent review. White crystalline deposits can appear during corneal ulcer treatment and usually resolve. Do not share the bottle. Use in pregnancy and children as medically advised.
