Dextracin Eye/Ear Drops 5ml are combination drops pairing a corticosteroid with an antibiotic to treat inflamed, infected eyes and ears. The steroid component rapidly settles redness, swelling and discomfort while the antibiotic clears susceptible bacteria. Useful for conjunctivitis with marked inflammation, post-operative eye care, and inflamed outer-ear infections, strictly under a clinician's direction. Steroid-antibiotic drops require correct diagnosis first, as steroids can worsen viral or fungal infections. Use only as prescribed. Confirm the exact composition on the pack label.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Use only as directed by your doctor. Typically 1-2 drops into the affected eye or ear two to four times daily for a short defined course. Wash hands first, avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface, and close the eye gently for a minute after instilling. Do not use for longer than prescribed, and discard the bottle 28 days after opening.

Do not use without medical assessment. Steroid drops can severely worsen herpes (viral) and fungal eye infections and mask progression. Prolonged eye use can raise eye pressure (glaucoma risk) and promote cataract. Attend review for courses beyond a week. Not for perforated eardrums unless a specialist approves (aminoglycoside ear toxicity risk). Stop and seek care for eye pain, vision change or worsening symptoms. Store below 25°C.
