Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Use only as directed by your doctor, who will set the dose by the child's age and weight. Commonly one 15mg tablet once daily, 30 minutes before breakfast. Disperse the tablet in a little water and give immediately, or let it dissolve on the tongue as advised. Complete the prescribed course even if symptoms settle early.

Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time. Long-term PPI use can lower magnesium and B12 and affect bone health. Persistent vomiting, poor weight gain, blood in vomit or stool, or difficulty swallowing needs urgent review, not acid suppression alone. Lansoprazole interacts with some medicines (e.g., certain antifungals and clopidogrel). Tell your doctor everything the child takes. Store below 30°C protected from moisture.
