Overview

Senna Tablets (50 pack) contain senna, a natural plant-based stimulant laxative used for the short-term relief of constipation. Senna works by gently stimulating the muscles of the bowel to move, helping to produce a bowel motion, usually within 8 to 12 hours. It is useful for occasional constipation and where a softer, easier bowel movement is wanted. A simple, effective laxative helping people relieve occasional constipation. Directions for Use

Take only as directed on the label or by your doctor. Commonly one or two tablets at bedtime, swallowed with water, so it works overnight for a motion the next morning. Do not exceed the stated dose. Use it for short-term relief of constipation, not continuously. Also drink plenty of fluids and eat fibre. Follow the age guidance on the pack.

For short-term use only. Do not take stimulant laxatives daily for long periods, as the bowel can become reliant on them. Do NOT use if you have severe abdominal pain, nausea or vomiting, or any sign of bowel blockage. It can cause stomach cramps. See a doctor if constipation lasts more than a week, keeps returning, or comes with a sudden change in bowel habit, blood, or unexplained weight loss. Use in pregnancy only on advice.
