Overview

Esclam Kit from Cipla is a complete 7-day triple-therapy course for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori. The stomach bacterium responsible for most peptic ulcers and chronic gastritis. Each convenient daily kit combines esomeprazole (a powerful acid suppressant) with two antibiotics, amoxicillin and clarithromycin, clearly arranged for morning and evening dosing. Eradicating H. pylori allows ulcers to heal properly and dramatically reduces their return. For people with a positive H. pylori test, Esclam offers an organised, affordable path to lasting relief from ulcer pain (7 kits).

Each daily kit: esomeprazole 20mg × 2 tablets, amoxicillin 1000mg × 2 tablets, clarithromycin 500mg × 2 tablets (7 kits per pack).

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Each daily kit contains six tablets: take one esomeprazole 20mg, one amoxicillin 1g and one clarithromycin 500mg in the morning, and the same three in the evening. Ideally before meals, about 12 hours apart. Complete all 7 days (or the longer course your doctor prescribes) even if you feel better, then continue acid-suppressing treatment as advised to complete ulcer healing.

Do not use if allergic to penicillins, macrolide antibiotics or esomeprazole. Tell your doctor about liver or kidney problems, heart-rhythm disorders, and all other medicines. Clarithromycin interacts with statins, warfarin and others. Common side effects: metallic taste, nausea, diarrhoea and headache; seek urgent care for severe rash, facial swelling or breathing difficulty. Avoid alcohol during treatment. Tell your doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding. Stopping early encourages antibiotic resistance and treatment failure. Store below 30°C.
