Spasmomen 40mg Tablets (30 pack) contain otilonium bromide, Menarini's targeted antispasmodic for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Otilonium acts almost exclusively on the muscle of the lower gut, relaxing the painful spasms behind cramping, bloating and altered bowel habit. With minimal absorption into the rest of the body, which is why it is so well tolerated. Taken regularly before meals, it helps people with IBS regain comfort and confidence around eating and daily routines, under a doctor's guidance.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually one 40mg tablet two to three times daily, swallowed with water about 20 minutes before meals. Take it consistently rather than only when pain strikes; its benefit builds with regular use. Pair treatment with IBS-friendly eating habits (regular meals, adequate fluid, identifying trigger foods).

Very low absorption makes side effects uncommon, but do not use with glaucoma, prostate enlargement with urinary retention, or pyloric stenosis except on medical advice.
