Emitino Tablets 8mg (10 pack) contain ondansetron, an anti-sickness (antiemetic) medicine from the 5-HT3 antagonist group. It is used to prevent and treat nausea and vomiting caused by cancer chemotherapy and radiotherapy, and after operations (post-operative nausea and vomiting). Ondansetron works by blocking the action of serotonin on the parts of the body that trigger the vomiting reflex, helping to control severe nausea and vomiting. A doctor-prescribed medicine helping patients manage troublesome nausea and vomiting. Confirm the active on the pack.

Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. A common dose is one 8mg tablet twice a day (about 12 hours apart). For chemotherapy or radiotherapy, the first dose is usually taken before treatment, as your doctor directs. If it is an orodispersible (melt-in-the-mouth) tablet, place it on the tongue to dissolve, then swallow; otherwise swallow with water. Follow the exact dose and timing your doctor sets.
Can cause constipation and headache, and may affect heart rhythm. Tell your doctor about heart-rhythm problems, low potassium or magnesium, or other medicines that affect the heart, and report palpitations or fainting. Tell your doctor about liver problems (the dose may need limiting) and any signs of an allergic reaction or severe constipation/abdominal swelling.
