Overview

Peditral ORS Sachets provide oral rehydration salts that replace the water, salts and minerals lost during diarrhoea and vomiting. Dehydration is a serious risk in children and adults during stomach upsets, and this scientifically balanced glucose-and-electrolyte formula helps the body absorb fluid quickly to restore hydration. Easy to prepare and gentle on the stomach, Peditral is an essential first-line remedy for managing diarrhoea-related fluid loss at home, helping mothers care for children with tummy upsets and keeping the whole family safely hydrated during episodes of gastroenteritis.

Oral rehydration salts: Glucose (dextrose) anhydrous, Sodium chloride, Potassium chloride, and Trisodium citrate (citrate/bicarbonate base).

Directions for Use

Dissolve the entire contents of one sachet in the volume of clean drinking water stated on the pack (use freshly boiled and cooled water for infants). Stir until fully dissolved and use within 24 hours; discard any unused solution after this time. Give frequent small sips, especially after each loose stool or vomit. Do not add sugar, and do not dilute or concentrate the solution beyond the directions, as the balance of salts matters. Continue normal feeding and breastfeeding alongside rehydration.

Prepare strictly as directed. Using too little or too much water can make the solution ineffective or unsafe. Do not add extra sugar, salt or boil the made-up solution. Seek medical care urgently if there are signs of severe dehydration (sunken eyes, very little urine, drowsiness, no tears), persistent vomiting, blood in the stool, high fever, or if diarrhoea continues beyond a couple of days, especially in infants and the elderly.
