Overview

Urisol Sachets are a urinary alkaliniser used to relieve the discomfort of mild urinary tract infections (cystitis) and burning when passing urine. The sachets typically contain citrate salts that make the urine less acidic, which soothes the stinging and burning of cystitis and can make passing urine more comfortable while the body (or an antibiotic, if prescribed) clears the infection. Directions for Use

Take only as directed on the label or by your pharmacist. Commonly one sachet dissolved in a glass of water and drunk, a few times a day for up to a couple of days. Drink plenty of additional water throughout to help flush the urinary tract. Use for short-term symptom relief; see a doctor if symptoms do not settle within a couple of days, recur, or are severe.

This eases symptoms but does not cure an infection. See a doctor if symptoms persist beyond about two days, recur, or come with fever, back pain, blood in the urine, or if you are pregnant, diabetic or male, as these may need antibiotics or further assessment. Because it contains salts (sodium and/or potassium), tell your doctor if you have heart, kidney or blood-pressure problems or take potassium-affecting medicines before use.
