Atorid 40mg Tablets contain atorvastatin 40mg, a high-intensity statin for lowering cholesterol and protecting against heart attack and stroke. Atorvastatin reduces LDL ('bad') cholesterol production in the liver and stabilises artery plaque, with the 40mg strength providing strong lowering for those at significant cardiovascular risk or needing substantial LDL reduction.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Take one tablet once daily, at any consistent time of day, with or without food. Continue your heart-healthy diet and attend scheduled cholesterol and liver blood tests. Do not stop without medical advice. Cholesterol and risk rise again when statins are stopped.

Report unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness promptly. Rarely statins affect muscles, more so at higher doses or with interacting medicines. Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Avoid large amounts of grapefruit juice. Liver function may be checked. Tell your doctor about all medicines, especially certain antibiotics, antifungals and other cholesterol medicines.
