Overview
Atorid EZ 20/10mg Tablets (30 pack) combine two cholesterol-lowering medicines. Atorvastatin 20mg, a statin, and ezetimibe 10mg. In one tablet. They lower cholesterol in two complementary ways: atorvastatin reduces the cholesterol the liver makes, while ezetimibe blocks the cholesterol absorbed from food in the gut. Together they lower 'bad' LDL cholesterol more than a statin alone, helping protect against the fatty artery build-up that leads to heart attacks and strokes. The 20/10 strength is used when stronger lowering is needed. A doctor-prescribed, once-daily option helping people with high cholesterol or raised cardiovascular risk. Confirm the actives on the pack.
Actives: Atorvastatin 20mg (as calcium) and Ezetimibe 10mg per tablet. Confirm on packaging.
Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually one tablet once daily, at any time of day but the same time each day, with or without food, swallowed with water. Keep taking it long-term alongside a healthy diet, as cholesterol rises again if it is stopped. Attend the cholesterol and occasional liver blood tests your doctor arranges. Do not stop without advice.
Tell your doctor promptly about unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness, especially with fever or dark urine. A rare but important muscle effect of statins. Tell your doctor about liver or kidney problems, thyroid problems or heavy alcohol use, and about other medicines (some interact with statins). Avoid large amounts of grapefruit. Do not use in pregnancy or breastfeeding. Store below 30°C. This product information is for general guidance only and does not replace professional medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new medication or supplement. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
