Overview
Rovista 5mg Tablets (30 pack) contain rosuvastatin, a statin medicine that lowers cholesterol. Rosuvastatin reduces the amount of 'bad' LDL cholesterol the liver makes while helping raise 'good' HDL cholesterol, lowering the fatty build-up in the arteries that leads to heart attacks and strokes. It is used alongside a healthy diet to treat high cholesterol and to protect people at risk of heart and circulatory disease. The 5mg strength is a common starting dose. A doctor-prescribed, once-daily option helping people manage cholesterol and protect their heart health.

Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually one tablet once daily, at any time of day but at the same time each day, with or without food, swallowed with water. Keep taking it together with a low-fat diet even when you feel well, as high cholesterol has no symptoms. Do not stop without advice, and attend cholesterol and liver blood tests as arranged.
Tell your doctor promptly about unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness, especially with fever or dark urine. A rare but important statin effect. Tell your doctor about liver, kidney or thyroid problems and heavy alcohol use. Avoid large amounts of grapefruit. Do not use in pregnancy or breastfeeding. Use reliable contraception. Tell your doctor about other medicines, including some antibiotics and HIV medicines. Store below 30°C.
