Betaloc ZOK 100mg Tablets (30 pack) contain metoprolol succinate in AstraZeneca's controlled-release ZOK formulation, delivering smooth beta-blocker cover over a full 24 hours from one daily dose. It is prescribed for high blood pressure, angina, stable heart failure, heart-rhythm disorders and after heart attacks, and to prevent migraines. By slowing the heart and reducing its workload steadily through the day, Betaloc ZOK avoids the peaks and troughs of ordinary tablets. Dependable, once-daily heart protection for cardiac patients.

Metoprolol succinate 95mg (equivalent to metoprolol tartrate 100mg) per extended-release tablet.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually one tablet once daily in the morning, swallowed whole or divided at the score line but never chewed or crushed (this destroys the slow-release coating). Take with or without food at the same time daily. Do not stop suddenly. Abrupt withdrawal can trigger rebound angina, blood pressure surges or heart attack; doses are tapered medically.

Do not use with severe asthma, very slow heart rate, heart block or untreated severe heart failure. May cause tiredness, cold hands and feet, dizziness or vivid dreams. Usually settling with time. Can mask low-blood-sugar warning signs in diabetics. Caution with verapamil/diltiazem and other heart-rate-lowering medicines. Tell your doctor before anaesthesia or surgery.
