Nicorandil 10mg is a prescription medicine used to prevent and treat angina (chest pain caused by reduced blood flow to the heart). It belongs to a group called potassium-channel activators and works by relaxing and widening the blood vessels, improving blood flow to the heart muscle and reducing the strain on the heart. Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. A common effect is headache, especially when starting. This usually settles. Seek medical advice if you develop mouth, anal or skin ulcers that do not heal, as nicorandil can rarely cause these and may need to be stopped. It can cause dizziness and low blood pressure. Take care when standing up, and do not combine with PDE5 inhibitors (such as sildenafil) for erectile dysfunction, which can dangerously lower blood pressure. Limit alcohol.
