Vastarel MR 35mg Tablets (30 pack) contain trimetazidine in Servier's modified-release formulation, prescribed as add-on therapy for stable angina (heart-related chest pain). Unlike conventional anti-anginals, trimetazidine works metabolically. Helping heart muscle cells use oxygen more efficiently during reduced blood flow. Easing the frequency of angina attacks without lowering blood pressure or heart rate. It suits patients whose angina persists despite first-line treatment, adding protection for people managing coronary heart disease alongside their other cardiac medicines.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually one 35mg modified-release tablet twice daily with meals, morning and evening. Swallow whole; do not crush or chew. Vastarel is for prevention. It does not relieve an angina attack in progress; keep your fast-acting nitrate spray or tablets for emergencies. Do not stop without medical advice.

Do not use in Parkinson's disease or related movement disorders, severe kidney impairment, or if allergic to trimetazidine. It can cause or worsen tremor and movement symptoms; report shuffling walk, stiffness or tremor promptly. Dose reduction is needed in moderate kidney impairment and the elderly. Dizziness can occur.
