Overview
Carviday 20mg Tablets contain carvedilol 20mg, a combined beta- and alpha-blocker used for high blood pressure, angina and, importantly, chronic heart failure. Carvedilol slows and protects the heart while relaxing blood vessels, reducing the heart's workload, and in heart failure, taken long-term, it improves symptoms and survival. The 20mg strength serves established treatment.
Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Take as prescribed, usually twice daily with food (food slows absorption and reduces dizziness), at consistent times. In heart failure, the dose is increased very gradually under supervision. Never stop suddenly. Carvedilol must be tapered under medical guidance. Rise slowly, especially when starting or increasing the dose.
Not for use in asthma, very slow heart rate, certain heart blocks or decompensated heart failure. May cause dizziness, tiredness and low blood pressure, particularly early or after dose increases. Rise slowly and avoid driving until stable. In diabetes, it can mask low-blood-sugar warning signs. Tell your eye surgeon before cataract surgery. Tell your doctor about all other heart and blood pressure medicines, and report worsening breathlessness, swelling or fainting. This product information is for general guidance only and does not replace professional medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new medication or supplement. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
