Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. The usual dose is one 20mg retard tablet twice daily, about 12 hours apart, swallowed whole with water. Never crushed or chewed. Avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice. Do not stop suddenly, and keep taking your medicine even when you feel well, with regular blood pressure reviews.

Do not use in cardiogenic shock, significant aortic stenosis, unstable or acute angina, or within a month of a heart attack. Expect possible flushing, headache, dizziness and ankle swelling early in treatment. Report if persistent. Rise slowly from sitting or lying. Caution in liver impairment, heart failure and pregnancy. Tell your doctor about all other medicines, including beta-blockers, antibiotics and antifungals. Store below 30°C protected from light.
