Overview

Torsinex 10mg contains torasemide (torsemide), a loop diuretic or 'water tablet'. It helps the body remove excess fluid and salt through urine, reducing swelling (oedema) caused by heart failure, kidney or liver conditions, and helping to lower high blood pressure. By easing fluid overload it can relieve breathlessness and swollen ankles. Torasemide offers a smooth, reliable diuretic effect. Supplied as a 30-tablet pack for daily use.

Active ingredient: Torasemide 10mg per tablet.

Directions for Use

This medicine requires a prescription. Use only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Take one tablet once daily, usually in the morning so that increased urination does not disturb your sleep. Swallow with water, with or without food. Keep to your prescribed dose and attend reviews, as your doctor may check your kidney function and salts.

Not suitable in severe dehydration, very low blood pressure or inability to pass urine. Tell your doctor if you have gout, diabetes, or kidney or liver disease. May cause dizziness, increased urination, and low potassium or sodium. Your doctor may monitor these and advise on diet. Rise slowly to avoid dizziness. Store below 30°C.
