Clavulin 625mg Tablets (14 pack) contain co-amoxiclav. Amoxicillin 500mg combined with clavulanic acid 125mg. A broad-spectrum antibiotic equivalent in composition to Augmentin 625mg. Clavulanic acid blocks the enzymes resistant bacteria use to destroy amoxicillin, restoring its effectiveness against stubborn respiratory, ear, sinus, urinary, dental and skin infections. The 625mg strength taken three times daily is the standard adult workhorse dose. Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. The usual adult dose is one 625mg tablet three times daily, spaced about 8 hours apart, taken at the start of a meal to reduce stomach upset and improve absorption. Swallow whole with water. Do not crush or chew. Complete the full prescribed course even if you feel better, to prevent relapse and antibiotic resistance.

Do not use if allergic to penicillins, or if you have previously had jaundice or liver problems with co-amoxiclav. Seek urgent help for any allergic reaction. Rash, facial swelling, difficulty breathing. Common side effects include diarrhoea, nausea and thrush; take with food to minimise. Tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney disease, glandular fever, or take allopurinol, methotrexate or warfarin. Persistent watery or bloody diarrhoea after treatment needs prompt review. Confirm suitability in pregnancy or breastfeeding with your doctor. Store below 25°C in a dry place.
