Clofort 500mg Capsules (15 pack) contain cefaclor, a second-generation cephalosporin antibiotic prescribed for bacterial infections of the respiratory tract (bronchitis, pneumonia), middle ear (otitis media), sinuses, throat, skin and urinary tract. Cefaclor's enhanced activity against Haemophilus influenzae makes it particularly useful for ear and chest infections, killing susceptible bacteria by disrupting their cell walls. A dependable oral antibiotic option prescribed in clinics when first-line agents are unsuitable.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Typically 250-500mg every 8 hours for 5-10 days depending on the infection. Cefaclor may be taken with or without food; taking it with food can reduce stomach upset. Space doses evenly and complete the full course even when you feel better. Do not share antibiotics or save leftovers.

Do not use with cephalosporin allergy; use cautiously with penicillin allergy (cross-reaction possible). Seek urgent care for rash, facial swelling or breathing difficulty. Diarrhoea is common; persistent watery diarrhoea needs review. Caution in kidney impairment and with blood thinners. Tell your doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding. Use only when clearly needed.
