Dafraclav 1000mg Tablets are a prescription antibiotic containing co-amoxiclav (amoxicillin with clavulanic acid). Amoxicillin kills bacteria, while clavulanic acid protects it from being broken down by bacterial enzymes, broadening its effectiveness. It treats a wide range of bacterial infections, including chest, sinus, ear, throat, urinary, dental and skin infections. At this higher 1000mg strength, Dafraclav helps adults treat more significant bacterial infections, taken as a full prescribed course.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Dafraclav 1000mg is usually taken twice daily, at the start of a meal to reduce stomach upset, swallowed whole with water. Space the doses evenly, complete the full course even if you feel better, and do not skip doses or stop early.

This is a prescription medicine. Do not take if you are allergic to penicillins or have had a serious reaction to co-amoxiclav. Seek urgent care for rash, swelling or breathing difficulty. Tell your doctor about liver problems (co-amoxiclav can rarely affect the liver) or previous antibiotic reactions. May cause diarrhoea, nausea or thrush; seek advice for severe or bloody diarrhoea, even weeks later. Complete the full course to help prevent resistance. Tell your doctor about other medicines.
