Infa-V Vaginal Pessaries (8 pack) are a combination treatment for mixed vaginal infections, pairing metronidazole 500mg. Which clears bacterial vaginosis and trichomonas. With clotrimazole 100mg, which eliminates the candida yeast behind vaginal thrush. By treating the bacterial, protozoal and fungal causes of abnormal discharge, itching and odour in one pessary, Infa-V suits the mixed infections that are common in practice. A discreet, locally acting option that helps women restore comfort and vaginal health, used as directed by a clinician.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Use only as directed by your doctor. Typically one pessary inserted high into the vagina at bedtime for the number of nights prescribed. Wash hands before and after insertion and use the applicator if provided. Lying down afterwards helps the pessary stay in place. Complete the full course even if symptoms settle, and continue through menstruation unless advised otherwise.

Avoid alcohol during treatment and for 48 hours after. Metronidazole causes flushing, nausea and palpitations with alcohol. Avoid in the first trimester of pregnancy except on medical advice. The pessary base can weaken latex condoms and diaphragms. Use alternative precautions during treatment. Mild local burning or irritation can occur. Treating partners may be advised for trichomonas.
