Netazox 100mg/5ml Syrup (30ml) contains nitazoxanide, a broad-spectrum antiparasitic prescribed for children with diarrhoea caused by Giardia and Cryptosporidium, and for various worm and protozoal infections. Nitazoxanide interferes with the energy metabolism these parasites depend on, clearing stubborn, watery diarrhoea that ordinary antibiotics cannot touch. With parasitic diarrhoeal disease a frequent childhood problem , this paediatric syrup gives doctors a well-tolerated, targeted option for getting little ones back to health.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Use only as directed by your doctor. The usual paediatric course is twice-daily dosing with food for 3 days, with the volume per dose set by the child's age and weight. Shake the bottle well and measure with the cup or syringe provided. Give with meals to improve absorption and reduce stomach upset. Complete the full 3-day course, and keep the child well hydrated with fluids or ORS.

Give with food. Absorption is much better. May tint urine or eyes slightly yellow-green; this is harmless. Persistent diarrhoea beyond the course, blood in stools, high fever or signs of dehydration (sunken eyes, dry mouth, reduced urination) need prompt medical review. Use cautiously in liver or kidney disease. Safety in infants under 1 year is not established. Specialist advice only. Store below 30°C; discard reconstituted syrup as directed on the label.
