Overview

Taxim-O 200mg Tablets contain cefixime 200mg, a broad-spectrum third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic for bacterial infections. Including respiratory tract, ear, throat and urinary tract infections, and typhoid fever. Cefixime is convenient once- or twice-daily oral treatment that tackles a wide range of common bacterial infections effectively.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Take as prescribed, typically one tablet once or twice daily, with or without food (food can ease stomach upset), swallowed with water. Space doses evenly and complete the FULL course even when you feel better. Stopping early breeds resistance and risks relapse. Confirm your regimen with your doctor.

Tell your doctor of any penicillin or cephalosporin allergy before use. Cross-allergy is possible, and serious allergic reactions need emergency care. Commonly causes diarrhoea. Report severe, watery or bloody diarrhoea (possible C. difficile). Tell your doctor about kidney problems and all medicines. Probiotics may help reduce gut upset.
